What’s behind America’s failure to contain COVID-19?

CGTN news anchor Wang Guan is another personality that has become more noticeable.

What’s behind the surge in COVID-19 cases in the U.S.? In this episode of Reality Check, CGTN Anchor and former chief U.S. correspondent Wang Guan argues that Trump’s politicization of the virus, a lack of respect for science, and the general public’s obsession with “personal freedom” all contributed to the spike in cases.

7 hours agoThese people in America don’t even care about themselves, let alone each other. And you honestly want me to believe their government care about the people in Hong Kong? Give me a break. They can’t even save their own citizens

SG Supremacy3 hours agoWesterners rather die a ‘free’ but ‘corona plague’ infested man than abide by government law and put on a freaking mask. A mask is undermining their freedom a new form of oppression. What they don’t mind is getting ‘free money’ from robbing their own fellow citizens. Force charity is not tyranny at all! Far left BLM-Antifa clashing with far right Neo-klanzmanNSM over ancient statues in the mist of a global pandemic. What can go wrong with freedumb and demoncrazy?

K C Koay8 hours ago (edited)From the time the first batch of infection was reported in Wuhan, China took just days to identify, and by 12 January, 2020, shared the genetic sequence of the novel coronavirus with the rest of the world. A critical information to enable the other countries to use in the development of diagnostic kits. China also took the drastic measure of locking down Wuhan and put the entire nation under movement control. That has bought the rest of the world the golden time to get their acts together.

Dan D8 hours ago (edited)A corrupt government, treating the pandemic as a cash cow. 1) Letting US companies develop defective test kits when certified kits are available overseas. 2) Hydroxychloroquine… President himself is top salesman, what more do you want to know? Vaccine scientist Rick Bright made reference to cronyism 3) Reopening… Powerful business lobbies at work to force governors to reopen, with plenty of paybacks to line their pockets.4) Politicians get in the way of scientists. 5) Social inequality. 6) Americans do not understand collective responsibility, giving up some personal freedoms for the common good.

7 hours agoHyper-individualistic indoctrination, going against all common sense, is what will finally bring the US down. American people are so brainwashed with individualism they have absolutely no sense of community or solidarity. Without those common sense values, still upheld in the rest of the world (some parts more than others), the US is doomed to fail at unifying for any purpose. The country needs to be renamed as the Gringoland States, because the people there are anything but united.
