Zhangmu in Tibet

Zhangmu is busy little border town. The border checkpoint opens from 10 to 7,  and is usually busy with merchants, tourists and workers passing through it. During busy period, about 10,000 people use it.  A bridge that spans across the river that marks the border between Nepal and China was built in 1964. The bridge is called the China-Nepal Friendship bridge.

The filming crew also visited a 101 years old lady in nearby village. She used to hoist the national flag proudly everyday without fail. However, she is too frail to do that nowadays.

The Sherpa people who are famous for the mountaineering skills live in several villages close to Zhangmu.
