Lazi in Tibet

It is a pity that the documentary does not cover the only China-India checkpoint in Yadong county. I would have love to see the checkpoint. Perhaps it is not opened. The recent earthquake with epicentre in Sikkim is very close to Yadong.

Lazi (拉孜) or Lhaze is a typical bustling town that lies west of Lhasa. The attitude is 4012m.  Yellow oil flowers farms make the surrounding coutryside very pretty during the summer months.

The Tibetan daggers are famous traditional product of this town. In the surrounding areas, the burial grounds of the Tubo kings can be found. Other tourist attractions include the spas and the grassland picnic activities called ‘guolinka’.
