Menghai, Lancang and Menglian in Yunnan

The documentary series 远方的家 –  边疆行 travels further north to Menghai, Lancang and Menglian. These are towns close to the Myammar border.

Menghai (勐海) is about 40 km to the West of Jinghong.  It has a mild spring like climate
and the tea plant grows well here. It is one of the important towns where the Puer
tea is produced. Rubber tree plantation is an important crop here.

The Lahu (拉祜) people are highly musical people.
Many of them of found near Lancang (澜沧) town.


In Menglian(孟连) town, many Burmese  owned shops are found.
