Yuanyang and Lvchun in Yunnan

Yuanyang (元阳) is a prefecture within the Honghe region. It is mountanous region, with height varying from 100m to 2000m above mean se level. The main town in Yuanyang is Nansha (南沙). Yuanyang is increasingly getting famous nowadays due to the amazing rice terrace fields that appear as if these are wonderful work of arts.. The Hani people built have built and used these fascinating terrace fields for over a thousand years, and in most places their traditions have been maintained.

Lvchun (绿春) is another place of congregation for the Hani people. A Hani folks musuem is built here. The Yi people also make their homes among the hills of Lvchun.
