清明上河图 – Animated version

清明上河图 (qīng míng shàng hé tú ) or “Along the river during Qingming” is one of the most famous Chinese painting. It was painted by Zhang Zeduan (1085-1145) during the Northern Song era depicting everyday live in the Song capital Bianjing (modern day Kaifeng in Henan province).

Following is an animated version that enthralled the crowds during the Shanghai Expo.
