Qinghai-Tibetan Tablelands (Qing Zang Gao Yuan)

This is a Tibetan style folk song in China. This song can only be sung by very accomplished singers. It is a very difficult song, but somehow is highly popular in China.

The original singer (I think) is Li Na. She quit singing and became a nun instead.
This is her rather melancholic version:

Translation: fromm CCTV video

Who brought the call of the ancient time
Who  left us hope lasting for a thousand years

Isn’t it the song without any words

Or the love that still cannot be forgotten

Oh
I saw a mountain, and mountains rolling

Mountain and rivers together

Ya la..suo…

this is my Qinghaiai-Tibet plateau

Who gazes at the blue sky day and night

Who long for  the everlasting miracle

Isn’t it the song of praise

Or the dignity that hardly can be changed

Oh
I saw a mountain, and mountains rolling

Mountain and rivers together

Ya la..suo…

this is my Qinghaiai-Tibet plateau
