Hangzhou

Yesterday, after a 3 hour bus ride from Tunxi, we arrived at Hangzhou West bus station. Took a taxi to our hotel in downtown Hangzhou. It is in a hustle and bustle part of the city.
Hangzhou is a major tourism city, with the West Lake (Xihu) as it’s focal point. It is an elegant city, but is also a typical Chinese city, where it is crowded is most part.

After walking along the lake, we visited the LeiFeng pagoda and Yue Fei temple, which are close to the West Lake. In the evening we had nice dinner of Hangzhou food for about RMB 100, and then proceed to shopping. Apparently. there is no much of bargains here. Seems the local here do not like to haggle over prices like in other part of China. Also, many of the shops close at around 8 PM.

Will be going to Xiamen today.
