Xian

xian(Muslim Street)

In Xian now. The weather is still pleasant, especially during the daytime.
Today, I cycled around the city wall, which took about 90 minutes. It’s a tiring ride, but I managed.
Later, visited the Huimin Jie, which is the Muslim area. It is just behind the Gulou (Drum tower). Interesting places for visitors to visit. One can buy all kind of snacks and souveniers.

Arrived yesterday from Shenzhen. The taxi ride from airport to hotel proves to be the most expensive and time consuming ever. It cost about 170 RMB, and took about 1.5 hours. There was an accident near the city, and we were held up for 45 minutes. Visitors should take a bus from airport to city first, before getting a taxi to the hotel. The cost will be much less.

People in Xian get up quite late. There was hardly any traffic or people walking on street at 630 AM. The Shaansi people in Xian are generally Nothern Chinese type and thus are taller and bigger. Another interesting observation: There are many pretty and fair looking girls in Xian.
